Our Hall-of-Fame Members Understand What It Takes To Be A Winston-Salem
SacrificeTeam-firstEfficiencyAlwaysLoyaltyExceptionalRespectSeparation
Hall-of-Fame Member
Sacrifice = I have to give-up some of my glory and time to make my team and my program better.
Team-First = I will do whatever it takes to my team the best it can be; the better my team, the better I'll be.
Efficiency = I will do as much as I can to make the program, the team, and myself better without trying to draw attention. I don't have to jump up and down when I make a good play, and I don't have to wear my uniform in such a way that I look different than others. My energy goes to my play, and won't be wasted on making a show.
Always = When I join the Stealers, that's what I am, "A" when I join to "Z" when I finish. I am always a Winston-Salem Stealer.
Loyalty = It's my responsibility to help the program that helped me when I was younger; not jump ship when I have "gotten mine".
Exceptional = I set goals and try my best to follow through on all of them, again in an effort to make myself the best player I can be, while not thinking I'm bigger or better than the program.
Respect = I will respect the foundation the program is built on; respect for my teammates, the coaches, the opponents, the officials, and everyone associated with the game.
Separation = I know that I don't have to follow the crowd while staying within the program rules. Separation doesn't mean that I do "my thing"; separation means that I will do extra things on my own to make myself the best player I can be, and then bring those extra things back to the team / program to make everyone better.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.    When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.   Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.   What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.   Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.   LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
