Grade-Based Skills Program.

Grade-Based skills were established in August 2008.

The purpose of the grade-based skills are to help our program's participants improve their knowledge of our team's offensive and defensive systems as well work on their individual skills.

The goal is to be able to put together the pieces of individual work with the offensive and defensive concepts to help each player become a better player.

The reason?  Sometimes practice does not allow for the proper amount of time to work on skills (because of gym space restrictions, practicing only 1-2 times a week for ninety or so minutes, etc...). You can get some skill work in at team practice, but not the amount needed to improve at the pace you would hope your daughter would progress at. Team practices need to be used more so for working on plays and defenses, so thus we offer grade-based skills so that each player has an opportunity (if they choose to register) to improve on their fundamentals and skills.  (This is basically the same reason that we offer individual skills, which is posted below.)

The grade-based skills program is part of the "New Direction" posted on the "Contact Us" page (offering opportunities for skills).

The program is also open to players not currently in the program.

Keep checking this page to learn more about grade-based skills and opportunities to register for upcoming sessions.
