Beginning in November 2011, this page will highlight the accomplishments of our alumni.

February 4th Alumni Updates!!!

Brittany Cox.
Brittany Cox (2002-2009) was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team in district three. Only five players were selected for the Division II team and Cox was one of two coming from Conference Carolinas. Cox has the highest grade point average of those selected, now moving on to the national ballot for national Academic All-American consideration. Cox made the team thanks to her 3.92 GPA majoring in Sports Management. The junior currently leads the Lady Falcons and the conference averaging 19.7 points per game. Cox also lists among the nation’s top-20 in scoring average and three-pointers per game.  - Information courtesy of the www.gofalconsports.com.

Cox scored 32 points, 13 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 blocks, and steals as Pfeiffer won Saturday Night over Converse, February 4th.


Alumni Updates -  January 14, 2012!!!

Brittany Cox.
Brittany Cox (Stealers 2002-2008) ranks 20th nationally in three-pointers made in Division II Basketball. Brittany averages 2.8 three-pointers made per game.

Brittany is also #21 nationally in total points and averages 18.6 ppg.

Megan Buckland (Stealers 2005-2011)
UNC Tar Heel Megan Buckland (Stealers 2005-2011) re-tore her ACL on Sunday, December 18th in the first half of their game versus South Carolina in Myrtle Beach.  Buckland will have surgery to repair the knee more than likely in January.

Megan first tore her ACL in March 2010, her junior year of high school. It was the same knee.

Alumni Updates, November 26-30!!!

Erin Fitzgerald At Washington College.
Erin Fitzgerald (2007-2010) is averaging 6.5 ppg  in two games and has started both games for Washington College. The Shorewomen are 1-1 on the season.

Jennifer Penley (2003-2009) scored two points in the Naval Academy's loss to Mount St. Mary's over the weekend.

Megan Buckland (2005-2011) made her third start in five games for the #15 Ranked North Carolina Tar Heels this past Sunday. The Tar Heels won 76-62 over Kennesaw State, and Buckland had eight points in the victory. Buckland had 4 points in North Carolina's loss to Penn State on Wednesday.

Valerie Beale (2010) is averaging 5 points per game for Emory & Henry College through two games.

Kelsey Long (2008-2010) has started all five games for Belmont Abbey and is averaging 11.4 ppg.

Kelli Bonner (2003-2011) has played in three games for Wingate and averages 5.3 ppg.

Jennifer Penley (2003-2009) went 1-1 from the field, scoring 2 points and grabbing 1 rebound helping the Naval Academy to their first win of the season, 61-58, over William & Mary.

Megan Buckland (2005-2011) scored five points and played twenty-four minutes in #15 ranked North Carolina's 61-38 win over Presbyterian. The Tar Heels move to 4-0 on the season. Buckland is averaging 10.3 ppg. through the first four games.

Brittany Cox (2002-2009) scored twenty points helping Pfeiffer to a 75-68 win over Mars Hill. Kaela Bellefeuil (2002-2009) chipped in 8 points in the victory.

Madison Dulaney (2002-2009) is averaging 1.3 ppg for the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets through four games.

Millesa Calicott (2002-2011) scored six points in eleven minutes of action as Wake Forest improved to 3-1 with a 90-44 win over Mercer on Wednesday.

Alumni Updates - November 15-16!!!

Brittany Cox Scored 31 Tuesday Night.
Brittany Cox (Stealers 2002-2009) had her second 30+ point game as Pfeiffer defeated Anderson 74-65. Cox had 31 points in the win.  Two games earlier, she scored 30 vs. Lenoir-Rhyne.

Millesa Calicott (Stealers 2002-2011) and her Wake Forest Demon Deacons opened their season with a 88-53 win over Monmouth.  Calicott scored 2 points in five minutes of action, going 2-2 from the free throw line. Calicott also had one assist.

Megan Buckland (Stealers 2005-2009) started her second game for the University of North Carolina, scoring 9 points, and played 24 minutes as the Tar Heels defeated UNCG in Chapel Hill.

Brittany Cox (Boxing-out) had a big game vs. Lenoir-Rhyne.
Stealers Hall-of-Fame Member Brittany Cox (Stealers 2002-2009) scored 30 points in a 84-82 overtime loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday.  Click HERE to read the story.

Another Stealers Hall-of-Fame Member Megan Buckland (Stealers 2005-2011) scored 17 points and played 26 minutes as her Tar Heel team defeated Gardner-Webb on Saturday.  Buckland played the most minutes of anyone on U.N.C.'s Team, and was in the starting line-up in her first college game. Buckland followed with a 10 point performance in 24 minutes of action on Sunday in a win over USC-Upstate.

Farrahn Wood Signs Her N.L.O.I. To Play At Appalachian State!!!

Congratulations to Farrahn Wood (Stealers 2005-2011) for signing her National Letter of Intent Thursday Morning, November 10th, to play basketball at Appalachian State University for the 2012-13 Season.

Farrahn finished her career playing on our 292 / Stealers 17-and-under team this past season. Farrahn has helped our program assisting with grade-based skills and be an original member of our early-morning skills groups.

Good luck to Farrahn as she begins her final season of high school basketball before moving on to App, State.

Way to go to Farrahn!!!

The program is happy for, and proud of, you!!!

292 Basketball - Alumni Updates From The College Scene!!!

A new page will be published soon on this web site to give everyone updates on how our alum's are doing.

This first post has three updates.  First, the "Stealers 5", as they are known at Pfeiffer University, will play in a scrimmage game Thursday Night (free admission) at Duke University.  The "Stealers 5" are: Lauren Penley (2002-2011), Brittany Cox (2003-2009), Samantha Craven (2006-2008), Felicia Gibson (2004-2008, 2010), and Kaela Bellefeuil (2003-2009).

Wake Forest Freshman Millesa Calicott (2002-2011) made her debut for the Demon Deacons as they hosted Lenoir-Rhyne in a pre-season scrimmage on Wednesday, November 2nd at the LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem. Calicott had 5 points in eight minutes of action, going 2-5 from the floor, recording three steals, and one blocked shot.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Freshman Megan Buckland (2006-2011) scored 11 points and tied for the team lead in minutes played (playing 30 of 40 minutes) in the Tar Heels scrimmage versus UNC-Charlotte in Chapel Hill.  Buckland was fourth in hustle stats recorded by the UNC Staff.
